This IFDA show house was my first show home, done in 1990. Located in the coveted neighborhood of El Encanto, this en suite bedroom included a bedroom, a bathroom + a writing room. The iron bed was floated in the center of the room, to be closer to the French doors and the view of the verdant cul de sac, adding to the dreamy-like garden interior. The writing room was stenciled + painted with two shades of green + is still intact, today, 35 years later.
This IFDA show home was done in 1991 as an AIDS benefit. The architecture of the home was an English tudor, complete with a turret, + it was located in Tucson Country Club Estates. The before + after photos show the transformation of late 80’s style to something classic, bold, + timeless.
Located in the coveted neighborhood of Colonia Solana in central Tucson, this elegant show home was a benefit for the Tucson Museum of Art.
Using fabrics donated by Brunschwig & Fils, the cyclamen pink/red walls had a definite nod to San Miguel de Allende offering a true Spanish Colonial feel, emphasized with the antique Mexican furnishings from Holler & Saunders of Nogales, Arizona. The contrast of a crystal chandelier + a tile floor is everything.
A rather large hallway with North views was transformed into a study for the Tucson Museum of art showhouse, located in the Catalina foothills.
The beautiful patina on the antique Fortuny screens in olive and gold added quiet luxury, paired with black and white photographs of Montecito’s esteemed garden, Lotusland, photographed years ago by local Tucson artist, Barbara Rogers.
